Setting up IPTV on a Samsung or LG Smart TV is straightforward, but the process differs from Android-based devices since these TVs run Tizen (Samsung) or webOS (LG). Here is how to get started.
Option 1: IPTV Smarters Pro (Recommended)
IPTV Smarters Pro is available on both Samsung and LG app stores and is the easiest way to get IPTV running.
- On your Smart TV, open the App Store (Samsung: Smart Hub / LG: LG Content Store)
- Search for IPTV Smarters Pro
- Install the app
- Open the app and select Login with Xtream Codes API
- Enter your username, password, and server URL from your service details page at optimedia.top
- Tap Add User and wait for channels to load
Option 2: Smart IPTV (SIP) App
Smart IPTV is a popular option for Samsung and LG TVs. It requires a one-time activation fee of a few dollars directly from the app developer.
- Install Smart IPTV from your TV app store
- Open the app and note the MAC address displayed on screen
- On your phone or computer, go to siptv.eu/mylist
- Enter your TV MAC address and your M3U URL from your service details page
- Click Send
- Restart the Smart IPTV app on your TV — your channels should appear
Option 3: Use a Streaming Device Instead
If you cannot find a compatible app on your Smart TV, the easiest solution is to plug in an external streaming device:
- Amazon Fire TV Stick — Most popular option. Supports TiviMate, IPTV Smarters, and many other IPTV apps.
- Android TV Box — Full Android experience on your TV. Supports all Android IPTV apps.
- Nvidia Shield — Premium option with excellent performance for 4K streaming.
These devices plug into your TV's HDMI port and give you access to the full range of IPTV apps that may not be available on your TV's built-in app store.
Tips for Smart TV Users
- Use a wired Ethernet connection if your TV has an Ethernet port — it provides a more stable connection than Wi-Fi
- Keep your TV firmware updated — go to Settings → Support → Software Update
- Restart your TV weekly — fully power off (not standby) and turn back on
- Close other apps — Smart TVs have limited memory, close unused apps before opening your IPTV app
